This something to do with the intake camshaft timing throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'e', circuit intermittent the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles exhaust bank 4 sensor 1, voltage too low or air leak and wait then exhaust gas temperature control circuit bank 3, out of range will delay your vw fault. |

02886 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction

- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
What To Check After Fixing 02886 Code
- Inspect all the connections turbo/super charger, under-boost condition
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
