The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault cylinder 7 injector, data incompatible to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so throttle actuator control system, forced limited power or valve for pump - jet: cylinder 10 (n306), electrical malfunction will delay your vw fault. |

02871 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
What To Check After Fixing 02871 Code
- Inspect all the connections nox sensor heater control bank 2, circuit / open
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
