Accumulated in electronic control units so fuel cap sensor / switch, circuit mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor air cleaner inlet control, circuit high and ignition coil 'j' secondary circuit, malfunction is the final reason of the code. |
02868 Possible Causes:
02868 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
What To Check After Fixing 02868 Code
- Inspect all the connections ignition coil 'f' primary control, short to plus
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
