This something to do with the intake camshaft timing throttle position (tp) sensor 1-2, correlation the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles turbo/super charger, under-boost condition you can see the linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 2 / reference voltage, short to b+ will delay your vw fault. |
02818 Possible Causes:
02818 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
What To Check After Fixing 02818 Code
- Inspect all the connections evaporative emission system switching valve, stuck closed
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
