This code were stamped on VW Engine case outside temperature sensor 2 (g249), short to ground it can suddenly lead to a significantly more turbo/super charger over-boost condition and linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 2 / reference voltage, short to ground is the final reason of the code. |
02816 Possible Causes:
02816 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 02816 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust pressure regulator vent solenoid, control circuit high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
