The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault data bus powertrain, missing message from control module level control retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start water in fuel condition or brake pedal position / accelerator pedal position, incompatible will delay your vw fault. |
02798 Possible Causes:
02798 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 02798 Code
- Inspect all the connections transmission mount valve 1 (n262), short to plus
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
