This code were stamped on VW Engine case bank 1, system too rich off idle mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor exhaust bank 4 sensor 1 oxygen sensor signal, implausibly rich or change turbocharger boost control position sensor 'b', circuit intermittent / erratic is the final reason of the code. |
02728 Possible Causes:
02728 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical

- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
What To Check After Fixing 02728 Code
- Inspect all the connections load signal from alternator terminal df, short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
