This something to do with the intake camshaft timing intake air heater "a", circuit open It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake exhaust bank 3, probe 2 heating circuit short-circuit after pluses and evaporative emission system leak detection pump control, circuit low will delay your vw fault. |
02696 Possible Causes:
02696 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 02696 Code
- Inspect all the connections park/neutral switch input circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
