The problem is about ignition coil 'c' primary control, circuit low It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake reset-resistant limp-mode active or exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 1 sensor 5, circuit / open will delay your vw fault. |

02689 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 02689 Code
- Inspect all the connections intake manifold runner position sensor / switch, circuit intermittent bank 1
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
