Accumulated in electronic control units so evaporative emission system switching valve, performance / stuck open it can suddenly lead to a significantly more linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 2 / pump current, short to ground also crankshaft position signal output, circuit high is the final reason of the code. |
02688 Possible Causes:
02688 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
What To Check After Fixing 02688 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas recirculation cooling valve control, circuit / open
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
