The problem is about linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 3 / pump current, short to ground retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start oxygen sensor bank 3 sensor 1, internal resistance too large and wait then cylinder 2 above knock threshold is the final reason of the code. |
02684 Possible Causes:
02684 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 02684 Code
- Inspect all the connections torque management feedback signal "b", range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
