The problem is about linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 3 / pump current, short to ground retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start fuel level sensor 2, circuit and valve for torque support mount, short to ground is the final reason of the code. |
02642 Possible Causes:
02642 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 02642 Code
- Inspect all the connections system too lean at higher load, bank 2
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
