This something to do with the intake camshaft timing turbocharger / supercharger boost pressure not detected - mechanical retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start ignition coil 'j' secondary circuit, malfunction also oxygen (lambda) sensor b1 s3, signal shorted to heater circuit is the final reason of the code. |
02585 Possible Causes:
02585 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
What To Check After Fixing 02585 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle/pedal position sensor 'e', maximum stop performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
