Staring in engine oxygen (lambda) sensor b1 s1, pump current, short to b+ run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 2 / common ground wire, open circuit or change ecm/pcm power input, signal range / performance is the final reason of the code. |
02540 Possible Causes:
02540 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 02540 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 3, probe 1 heating circuit interruption
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
