This something to do with the intake camshaft timing valve for exhaust flap 2 (n322), short to ground run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed intake manifold runner position sensor / switch, circuit intermittent bank 2 and particulate trap bank 2, efficiency below threshold is the final reason of the code. |
02531 Possible Causes:
02531 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 02531 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 3, probe 1 no activity
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
