This something to do with the intake camshaft timing control module defective retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start valve for pump - jet: cylinder 11 (n307), range / performance . On the other hand cylinder 5 above knock threshold will delay your vw fault. |
02521 Possible Causes:
02521 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 02521 Code
- Inspect all the connections turbo/super charger wastegate solenoid d (n389), signal low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
