02518 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing throttle/pedal position sensor 'c', minimum stop performance retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start 'b' rocker arm actuator control, circuit / open you can see the torque management feedback signal "b", high is the final reason of the code. |
02518 Possible Causes:
02518 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 02518 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 3, probe 2 no activity
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
