02509 Description And Summary :

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault data bus powertrain, missing messages retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 2 sensor 5, circuit / open or control module defective is the final reason of the code.

02509 Possible Causes:

02509 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

  • Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
  • Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
  • Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
  • Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
  • Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
  • Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
  • O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
  • Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low

What To Check After Fixing 02509 Code

  • Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor 2 bank 2 (g449), high
  • Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
  • Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
