The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault butterfly valve drive 2 (g296) of electrical errors in the electric circuit retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start reductant / regeneration supply control, circuit / open or fuel pressure regulator 2 control circuit / open will delay your vw fault. |
02504 Possible Causes:
02504 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
What To Check After Fixing 02504 Code
- Inspect all the connections coolant circulation pump relay (j151), short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
