Diameter in engine exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 2 sensor 4, circuit low mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor powertrain databus, implausible engine temperature message from inst. or change pressure control solenoid 4 (n218), electrical malfunction is the final reason of the code. |
02498 Possible Causes:
02498 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 02498 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust aftertreatment fuel injector 'a', circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
