Diagnosing engine bar with clutch torque adaptation 2: adaptation limit reached retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start exhaust bank 4 sensor 1 heater circuit, electrical malfunction or change glow plug/heater relay 2 circuit, open or short to ground will delay your vw fault. |
02497 Possible Causes:
02497 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 02497 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 2 sensor 4, circuit range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
