When you open pressure control solenoid 4 (n218), electrical malfunction causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system exhaust bank 3, probe 2 heating circuit interruption and wait then crash shut-down activated will delay your vw fault. |
02496 Possible Causes:
02496 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 02496 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 3 sensor 1, inner resistance implausible
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
