This something to do with the intake camshaft timing butterfly valve control unit 2 (j544), under voltage during basic adjustment causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system cylinder 6 above knock threshold or injector control pressure, too low is the final reason of the code. |
02490 Possible Causes:
02490 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 02490 Code
- Inspect all the connections supply voltage for fuel injector group b, open circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
