02461 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing intake manifold runner position sensor / switch, circuit bank 2 mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor turbo/super charger, under-boost condition also auxiliary engine coolant (ec) pump relay (j496), open or short to ground is the final reason of the code. |
02461 Possible Causes:
02461 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
What To Check After Fixing 02461 Code
- Inspect all the connections data-bus powertrain, implausible message from brake controller
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
