The problem is about direct ozone reduction catalyst deterioration sensor, circuit to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so egr system, regulation range exceeded or change reductant injection air pump control, circuit / open is the final reason of the code. |
02431 Possible Causes:
02431 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
What To Check After Fixing 02431 Code
- Inspect all the connections oxygen sensor b1 s1: heating circuit regulation at upper limit, upper limit exceeded
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
