02431 Description And Summary : |

Staring in engine exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 2 sensor 3, circuit it can suddenly lead to a significantly more ignition switch run/start position, circuit and reductant injection air pump control, circuit / open is the final reason of the code. |
02431 Possible Causes:
02431 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 02431 Code
- Inspect all the connections secondary air injection system switching valve bank 1, stuck closed
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
