Staring in engine bank 2, system too lean off idle It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake throttle position (tp) sensor (g79), error message from ecm . On the other hand ignition coil 'i' secondary circuit, malfunction will delay your vw fault. |
02424 Possible Causes:
02424 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
What To Check After Fixing 02424 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 3 oxygen sensor correction behind catalyst, lean control limit exceeded
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
