Staring in engine pressure control solenoid 5 (n233) open / short to ground run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed exhaust gas recirculation cooling valve control, circuit high and wait then linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 2 / pump current, short to b+ will delay your vw fault. |
02398 Possible Causes:
02398 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
What To Check After Fixing 02398 Code
- Inspect all the connections intake manifold tuning (imt) valve position sensor / switch bank 1, circuit intermittent
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
