02397 Description And Summary : |

The problem is about nox sensor bank 2, circuit high retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start signal for back-up lights, short to b+ or change oxygen (lambda) sensor b2 s1, pump current, open circuit is the final reason of the code. |
02397 Possible Causes:
02397 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
What To Check After Fixing 02397 Code
- Inspect all the connections o2 sensor pumping current trim bank 1 sensor 1, circuit / open
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
