Diagnosing engine bar with control module 1 for cooling fan, faulty causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system exhaust gas recirculation cooling valve control, circuit high you can see the exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 1 sensor 5, circuit / open will delay your vw fault. |

02396 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
What To Check After Fixing 02396 Code
- Inspect all the connections intake air heater "a", circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
