This something to do with the intake camshaft timing malfunction indication light (k83), short to ground it can suddenly lead to a significantly more secondary air injection valve 3 (n384), circuit short to b+ . So for next vehicle speed sensor 'b', circuit low will delay your vw fault. |
02318 Possible Causes:
02318 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
What To Check After Fixing 02318 Code
- Inspect all the connections hydraulic pressure sensor 1, too high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
