02297 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing power supply (b+) terminal 15, open circuit retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start exhaust bank 3, probe 2 tension too largely and generator shut-off, short to b+ is the final reason of the code. |
02297 Possible Causes:
02297 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
What To Check After Fixing 02297 Code
- Inspect all the connections transmission mount valve 2 (n263), open circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
