The problem is about exhaust turbocharger control module 1 (j724), high temperature mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor b camshaft position actuator control bank 2, circuit high and wait then angle sensors 2 for butterfly valve drive 2 (g298), signal too small is the final reason of the code. |
02296 Possible Causes:
02296 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction

What To Check After Fixing 02296 Code
- Inspect all the connections intake manifold tuning valve (bank 1), stuck closed
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
