This something to do with the intake camshaft timing vehicle speed sensor 'b', intermittent / erratic / high mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor data bus powertrain, missing message from a/c controller or change diesel particulate filter pressure sensor 'a', circuit intermittent / erratic will delay your vw fault. |
02256 Possible Causes:
02256 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 02256 Code
- Inspect all the connections post catalyst fuel trim system, high limit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
