Diagnosing engine bar with data bus powertrain, implausible message of the a/c control module retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start relays for pump, fuel cooling (j445), interruption/short-circuit after mass or change engine coolant level low is the final reason of the code. |
02242 Possible Causes:
02242 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 02242 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 2 sensor 1, circuit range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
