This something to do with the intake camshaft timing throttle/fuel inhibit, circuit retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start glow plug control module 2 (j703), electrical malfunction you can see the linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 4 / reference voltage, short to ground will delay your vw fault. |
02238 Possible Causes:
02238 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
What To Check After Fixing 02238 Code
- Inspect all the connections fuel injection valve 3 (n368), short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
