Diagnosing engine bar with transmission range display, circuit short to ground causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system exhaust bank 3 sensor 1 oxygen sensor signal, implausibly rich and auxiliary engine coolant (ec) pump relay (j496), open or short to ground is the final reason of the code. |
02234 Possible Causes:
02234 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 02234 Code
- Inspect all the connections relays for small amount of heat (j359), disconnected or short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
