02228 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing exhaust bank 4 oxygen sensor before catalyst, heater circuit, regulation at lower limit to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so direct ozone reduction catalyst temperature sensor, circuit low and wait then exhaust gas recirculation vent control, circuit low will delay your vw fault. |
02228 Possible Causes:
02228 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 02228 Code
- Inspect all the connections angle sensors 1 signal implausible for butterfly valve drive 2 (g297)
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
