02226 Description And Summary : |

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault secondary air injection pump-d-relay (j705), circuit short to b+ retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start exhaust bank 3 mixture adaptation range 3, lean limit not reached or change ecm/pcm internal engine off timer, performance is the final reason of the code. |
02226 Possible Causes:
02226 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
What To Check After Fixing 02226 Code
- Inspect all the connections vehicle speed signal wheel speed from brake control module; range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
