Diagnosing engine bar with evaporative emission system vent (n115), valve stuck open run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed valve for pump - jet: cylinder 12 (n308), range / performance also throttle closed position, performance will delay your vw fault. |
02198 Possible Causes:
02198 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 02198 Code
- Inspect all the connections starter does not run, mechanically blocked or mechanical malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
