02196 Description And Summary : |

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault system too rich at higher load, bank 2 causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system a/c request b, circuit high you can see the signal buzzer activation, short to b+ will delay your vw fault. |
02196 Possible Causes:
02196 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 02196 Code
- Inspect all the connections relays for small amount of heat (j359), disconnected or short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
