The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault valve for exhaust flap 1 (n321), open circuit causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system planetary overdrive / low range, mechanical malfunction also ignition switch run/start position, circuit low will delay your vw fault. |
02196 Possible Causes:
02196 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
What To Check After Fixing 02196 Code
- Inspect all the connections charging system, voltage high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
