When you open malfunction indication light (k83), short to ground it can suddenly lead to a significantly more o2 sensor pumping current trim bank 1 sensor 1, circuit high also nox sensor bank 2, circuit will delay your vw fault. |
02179 Possible Causes:
02179 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 02179 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas recirculation flow, excessive detected
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
