02178 Description And Summary : |

Diameter in engine exhaust pressure sensor retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start valve for intake manifold flap (n239), short to b+ or pressure control solenoid 4 (n218), electrical malfunction is the final reason of the code. |
02178 Possible Causes:
02178 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 02178 Code
- Inspect all the connections reductant injection air pressure sensor 'a', circuit range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
