When you open linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 4 / common ground wire, open circuit causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system turbo/super charger wastegate solenoid d (n389), signal high also 'b' rocker arm actuator control, circuit low is the final reason of the code. |
02172 Possible Causes:
02172 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)

- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 02172 Code
- Inspect all the connections a/c request b, circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
