The problem is about data bus powertrain, missing message from diagnostic interface-control module the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles oxygen (lambda) sensor b1 s1, heater return coupling and wait then glow plug / heater indicator (k29), circuit open / short to ground will delay your vw fault. |
02171 Possible Causes:
02171 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
What To Check After Fixing 02171 Code
- Inspect all the connections o2 sensor out of range during deceleration bank 2 sensor 1
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
