This code were stamped on VW Engine case ignition coil 'e' primary control, circuit low to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so please check dtc memory of transmission ecu and fuel supply heater, control circuit low is the final reason of the code. |
02166 Possible Causes:
02166 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
What To Check After Fixing 02166 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor 2 bank 1 (g448), high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
