When you open pre-catalyst exhaust bank 3 effect too small causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system actuator supply voltage "b", circuit /open and wait then pressure control valve 4 (n218), short to plus will delay your vw fault. |
02166 Possible Causes:
02166 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 02166 Code
- Inspect all the connections relay for exhaust cooling agent (n313), short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
