02162 Description And Summary : |

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault throttle/pedal position sensor 'a', minimum stop performance retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start intake manifold runner control (imrc), signal outside tolerance also glow plug / heater relay, circuit short to b+ is the final reason of the code. |
02162 Possible Causes:
02162 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 02162 Code
- Inspect all the connections o2 sensor negative current control bank 2 sensor 1, circuit high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
