This code were stamped on VW Engine case exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 1 sensor 5, circuit intermittent / erratic the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles fuel fired heater, disabled and relays for pump, fuel cooling (j445), short-circuit after pluses will delay your vw fault. |
02153 Possible Causes:
02153 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
What To Check After Fixing 02153 Code
- Inspect all the connections malfunction indication light (k83), open / short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
