02149 Description And Summary :

When you open ignition coil 'i' secondary circuit, malfunction causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system valve for torque support mount, short to ground and engine torque reduction, short to b+ will delay your vw fault.

02149 Possible Causes:

02149 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

  • Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
  • Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
  • Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
  • Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
  • Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
  • Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
  • Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
  • Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction

What To Check After Fixing 02149 Code

  • Inspect all the connections pressure control solenoid 5 (n233) short to b+
  • Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
  • Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
