This something to do with the intake camshaft timing valve for pump - jet, cylinder 5 (n244), electrical malfunction retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start secondary air injection system control 'a', circuit high or change fuel injection valve 4 (n369), short to b+ is the final reason of the code. |
02131 Possible Causes:
02131 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
What To Check After Fixing 02131 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 2 sensor 1 oxygen sensor signal, implausibly rich
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
