This something to do with the intake camshaft timing o2 sensor exhaust sample error bank 1 sensor 1 retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start exhaust gas recirculation vent control, circuit / open or change ignition switch run/start position, circuit high is the final reason of the code. |
02118 Possible Causes:
02118 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
What To Check After Fixing 02118 Code
- Inspect all the connections b camshaft position actuator control bank 1, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
